IT'S YOUR STORY
Have an equestrian dream? We'd love to help open that door. No pressure. No judgement. Just professionally schooled horses & professional, supportive coaches.

WHAT WE DO
The Parklands Stables offers quality lessons for horse riders in Berrima, Southern Highlands, NSW. Horse welfare and rider safety is at the centre of everything we do. You'll find us client focused and down to earth.
Our riders join us as members which means fewer hands on our horses and healthier relationships between horses and riders. Choose how often you want to ride and sign up, just like joining the gym. You can dial your membership level up or down as your needs change.
We invite you to be part of our community in the way that works best for you.
OUR HORSES
You're welcome to enjoy lessons on our horses as part of a group or individually. Our horses can support riders to build skills for general riding, show jumping to 80cm, medium dressage and eventing to novice level.
Our team are professionally schooled and enjoy their work. They give no more than two lessons per day, rest on Mondays and live in paddocks together where they're able to socialise. Read about three of our much loved team below.

OUR SERVICES
We offer lessons for riders who can walk, trot and canter independently through to riders of intermediate level. Lessons are conducted in groups of up to four, with individual lessons for riders working towards specific goals. Riders coming back after a break or loss of confidence are very welcome.
Each rider taking group lessons receives a booklet with learning outcomes for riding, groundwork and horse management. When completed these outcomes unlock the opportunity to participate in a range of enrichment experiences. Our lessons cover the following areas in ways that support riders own goals:
RIDING TECHNIQUES
We deliver comprehensive lessons covering all techniques necessary for dressage, jumping, eventing and recreational riding. We also teach riders to school the horses they ride, which is vital for any rider's safety and progress. To live and work successfully with horses, we need to establish positive behaviour through boundaries and a common language. As a rider you need to be an active participant in your horse's training, which must be constant and consistent.
GROUNDWORK
Groundwork is the foundation for many aspects of riding. It helps maintain a stable bond between you and your horse. It also enables you to learn how to be a leader to your horse should challenging situations. arise.
HORSE MANAGEMENT
Participating in the management of the horse you ride deepens the bond you share. It's also an opportunity to gain more insight into the horse's nature and physique. Such insights will help you communicate more effectively with the horse and thus grow your partnership.
OUR ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Our enrichment program for Members will begin in June 2022. There'll be regular opportunities to ride local trails, ride at the beach, in shows, and fun competitions. We'll also offer a range of clinics and workshops to enrich our members learning including biomechanics for riders, workshops on how to fall, dressage and jumping clinics

MEMBERSHIP
WHY MEMBERSHIPS?
Membership based riding schools are not as common in Australia as they are in other countries. We chose this model because it enables us to keep the integrity and quality of our brand. Here's how:
1. Our group lessons are fun and effective because Members attend regularly.
2. Our horses spend enough time with each Member to become engaged, active partners in every riders learning
journey.
3. Our horses are never put under pressure or over worked because of the continuity the Membership model provides.
4. Memberships enable us to invest in a connected community of riders and offer an enriched learning and social
experience.
